It provides sound recognition capabilities. and anti-interference technology for accurate measurement of root canal length.

  • The Woodpecker Ai-Pex Apex Locator with Pulp Tester is a diagnostic endodontic tool designed for the precise determination of working length in various types of root canals during treatment. This device also includes an inbuilt pulp tester. providing the added benefit of assessing pulp vitality.
  • The product is FDA approved and comes with a one-year warranty. It is suitable for complex root canals and remains unaffected by blood and residual pulp. Whether the root canal is dry or wet. it can automatically and accurately determine the position of the apical foramen. Clinically. it is recommended to measure to the 0.0 position and then manually subtract 0.5 to 1 mm to obtain the final working length. When the length indicator bar reaches a digital number below 1.5. the machine emits intermittent low-frequency beeps. The closer the tip is to the apical foramen. the quicker the beeping sound becomes. When the tip reaches the apex. the machine emits a continuous-frequency beep. and the sound level can be adjusted as needed.

  • Magnetic Adsorption Base: The base is 360° rotatable. allowing for adjustable viewing angles without backlighting. It supports electric pulp testing with multi-frequency capabilities and boasts 98% accuracy. It can also connect to an Endo motor.
  • Sound Recognition: This feature facilitates easier measurements. When the length indicator bar drops below 1.5. the machine emits low-frequency beeps. with the frequency increasing as the tip approaches the apical foramen.
  • Accurate Root Canal Length Measurement: The device features auto-calibration upon startup. a new digital circuit. and a U.S. central chip with a DSP processing module. ensuring 0.1% high precision. The information processing speed has increased by 2.125 times.
  • Endo Motor Connectivity: Connecting the Ai-Pex to an Endo Motor allows for real-time observation of the file's position in the root canal during operation and activates various automatic functions. such as auto-reverse.
  • Anti-Interference Measurement: The device has lowered environmental requirements for root canal length measurement. making it suitable for various complex root canals. It is unaffected by blood and residual pulp. accurately determining the position of the apical foramen in both dry and wet conditions.
  • Four Working Modes: The device can reach maximum pulse intensity in just 6.2 seconds.
  • Two Probes in Different Sizes Delivers More Convenient Operation.
    The large 2.6 mm diameter probe can be used on teeth with unexposed pulp and placed at 1/3 of tooth neck for testing.
    The small 0.5 mm diameter probe can be used on teeth with unexposed pulp and placed in the crown for testing. or on pulp-exposed teeth and placed at 1/3 of tooth neck for testing.

How to Use the Pulp Vitality Test Function
  • Long press the function button to switch to PT mode.
  • Press the speed button to adjust to the suitable working mode.
  • Connect the lip hook and probe.
  • Coat the head of the probe with a layer of conductive agent (e.g.. toothpaste).
  • Place the probe at the 1/3 position of the tooth neck. Test the tooth and its adjacent tooth separately. comparing the values when the patient feels tingling.
  • Determine pulp vitality based on comparative numerical analysis.
